Walton received the Champion Award in the Green Hi-Tech industry

Walton Hi-Tech Industries plc has received the Green Inclusive Business Champions Award-2021. The country's super brand and electronics giant received the award in the eco-friendly green high-tech industry category. The award was given to Walton by the Green Tech Foundation Bangladesh for its outstanding contribution to the transformation of a modern, resource-efficient and inclusive, fair and competitive economy.

Golam Murshed, Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Walton Hi-Tech Industries, has launched an initiative titled 'Better Bangladesh Tomorrow'. Through this, Walton is working hard to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Better Bangladesh Tomorrow's activities contribute to achieving the 16 goals of the SDGs, including tackling climate change and its effects, conserving aquatic life and the environment, and protecting the terrestrial ecosystem. In this regard, Walton has been awarded as a green high-tech industry.

Green Tech Foundation Bangladesh organized an award ceremony titled 'Green Inclusive Business Champions-2021' on January 11 at Bangladesh Shooting Federation in the capital. Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Alamgir Alam Sarkar and Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Walton Compressor Mohammad Ali received the award from Chief Guest Planning Minister MA Mannan. Rabiul Alam.

On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence, Green Tech Foundation Bangladesh organized 'Green Inclusive Business Champions Award-2021' in collaboration with the Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank.

The objective is to identify and recognize the pioneers in setting up a sustainable green environmental industry in Bangladesh as well as to inspire future generations.
