Locally made Hyundai cars to start roads by 2022

Fair Technology Limited (FTL), an attachment of Fair Group, plans to introduce locally made Hyundai buses in Bangladesh by the end of 2022. The company is setting up a factory at the Bangabandhu Hi-tech Demesne on Dhaka's outskirt Kaliakair to produce the buses.

"In order to give locally manufactured buses at reasonable prices, we've teamed up with the Korean machine mammoth Hyundai. We'll set a target to manufacture low-end sport mileage vehicles (SUV) to serve guests," said Mesbah Uddin, principal marketing officer at Fair Group.

He participated in the plan at a press conference organized to launch the ‘Santa Fe 2021' model of Hyundai at The Westin Dhaka. FTL introduced the new model Hyundai SUV at a time when demand for new buses is growing by around five percent annually in Bangladesh. Annually buses are vended in the country, said, assiduity drivers.

The cc Santa Fe has all new and ultramodern features. Rich with a safety-powered window, slide trim, LED protuberance headlamp, LED hinder combination beacon, panoramic sunroof, the seven-seater auto is relatively comfortable, said FTL in a press release. It also features the Harman Cardon sound system, eyeless-spot discovery view, the 360- degree compass- view camera, and binary-zone automatic temperature control. The model has priced at Tk 78 lakh. Hamid R Chowdhury, the counsel of Fair Group, Abu Naser Mahmud, head of deals, and JM Taslim Kabir, head of marketing, also spoke at the event.
